Paper Thin
If I knew how close
How desperately close
These walls caved in on me
That were paper thin
I would break out
Yet, I find myself
Swimming in a dream
Of my own self creation
A world onto itself
Where every thought and ideal
Every emotion and intuition
Every tripwire
Knocks me back to sleep
Before stirring awake
The onlookers take to their clipboards
Noting my reactions
To myself
The data at this point
Has to be immeasurable
Enough to fill and overlaod
Even the the most advanced of
Super computers
One hundred times over
If only I knew how close
How desperately close
These walls caved in on me
That were paper thin
I would have never swallowed
That miraculous pill
And yet, I find this fantasy
Rather captivating
